WHO WILL BE Queen of the road?

That is the question that will be answered tomorrow night when the women’s final of the National Sports Council’s Sports in the Community Inter-Parish Road Tennis Tournament is held at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Reigning women’s Clash of the Titans champion Sheldene Walrond of St James will face the aggressive Kim Holder (pictured below) in what will be another exciting women’s final. Walrond ended Holder’s seven year unbeaten streak and will be looking to show that her victory in December was not a fluke.

That match is expected to begin around 8:35 p.m.

Preceding that ladies final will be the Under-15 final between Christ Church’s Ezekiel Ward and the determined Kajay Sealy of St Philip. They are scheduled to hit the court around 8 p.m.

The men’s ‘B’ class final between St James and St Michael is slated to begin around 9:35 p.m. Dwayne Lynch of St James will face St Michael’s Anthony Haynes in the first match. The talented Dario Hinds will play in the second match for St James while St Michael will be represented by Jamal Branch.

On Sunday night, the other three finals will take place beginning with the under-21 final at 7:35 p.m. That match will see defending champion St Michael’s Darius Gaskin face arch nemesis Emar Gaskin of St George.

The veteran’s final between St James and St George is scheduled for 8:35 p.m. The matchups will see Edwin Ward of St James face St George’s Kertman Yearwood while St James’ Lloyd Deane will take on St. George’s Terry Dottin.

The big men’s ‘A’ class final is slated to serve off at 10 p.m. between St Lucy and St John. St Lucy’s Kerry Francis will come up against an in-form Julian ‘Michael Jackson’ White while Curtis Jones of St Lucy will face St John’s Adrian Skeete.
