A BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY MP has scolded the Democratic Labour Party-led Government for its performance in the cultural sector.
“This administration continues to promise . . . but it has not properly thought out the methodology through which they are going to assist the creative sector,” St Michael South East representative Santia Bradshaw charged.
Speaking in Parliament Monday during debate on the annual Estimates of Expenditure and Revenue, Bradshaw, who is also involved in entertainment management, said she was not surprised by Government’s failure to take the sector forward.
“When the Throne Speech was done back in 2013, the Honourable Minister [of Culture, Stephen Lashley] was also one who would have spoken about the film and media commission being introduced by this administration.
