SURROUND YOURSELF WITH employees who are much smarter than you, pay back your bank loans and share some of the profits with your workers.
These have worked for business magnate Ralph “Bizzy” Williams and he recommended them to business people as he engaged corporate executives and business owners attending a panel discussion on entrepreneurship hosted by the Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre yesterday.
However, another businessman warned that entrepreneurs needed to keep an eye on corporate rivals who were not above trying dirty tricks such as sabotage.
“Take all threats seriously,” was solar energy pioneer James Husbands’ advice for budding businesspeople. (GE)
