WE DON’T WANT any talk. We want water.

This could have been a quote from last year, but these were the feelings of St Joseph residents on Sunday as they vented their frustrations over the continued lack of waterin the rural parish.

The development came days after the Barbados Water Authority (BWA)commenced testing of a recently constructed borehole in Sweet Vale in St George, which the BWA promised would improve service to residents in several of the most severely affected parishes.

However, Airy Hill resident Lorna Knight was livid as she had only received water for three days after the BWA had been to the area.

“I washed [Saturday] and that pipe was off since last night,” the upset woman told the DAILY NATION. “[The BWA] playing with the people’s emotions and it needs to stop.” (AD)
