THE FORMER WIFE of Derek Lovell, the man who is suspected to have killed his spouse, Kimberly, before committing suicide, said his actions have shocked her.

Dale Lovell, 39, was married to Derek for 16 years and said, that for a moment, it crossed her mind that she could have ended up in the same situation as Kimberly. She thought that over the years Derek had grown up.

“I thought that with all he went through in the previous marriage that he would have come to grips with whatever the problem was that they were having and put aside all of that,” she told the DAILY NATION in an interview at her Brittons Hill, St Michael home yesterday.

The couple’s deaths sent shockwaves through Alleyne Land, Bayville, St Michael, on Sunday morning when Kimberly’s body was discovered with multiple stab wounds in their home and Derek’s body was found hanging from a rafter in a shed at the rear of the house. (TG)
