“I RUN THIS COURT!”

This was the stance yesterday of the country’s newest High Court judge who said she was taken aback by some conduct in a case she is hearing.

Justice Pamela Beckles is presiding over the case in which claimant Frank Errol Gibson is claiming damages in excess of $2 million in a lawsuit against a state.

Gibson, who was accused of murdering Francine Bolden in 2002, had the charge against him dropped by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Charles Leacock on November 8, 2012 on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence.

After spending ten years on remand, Gibson sued the state and the DPP, claiming that he was wrongfully charged, imprisoned and prosecuted for Bolden’s murder. (TKS)
