Grynner turns ’em on

THE ‘OLD DAWG’ Grynner was up to his usual tricks on Saturday night as he brought the First Citizens Digicel Big Show calypso tent to a frenzied end after more than four hours of solid entertainment.

His performance alone was worth every cent of the $30 admission as he turned the Sea Rocks Dome in Maxwell, Christ Church, into a big dance party.

Just after midnight when MC Mac Fingall announced Grynner was coming, there was a buzz from the opening strains of the popular Party Monarch and Tune Of The Crop contender Turn On De Speaker.

It seemed as though every patron was standing near the stage, in the aisles, at the back, near the bar; everyone seemed to be dancing and singing along.

The seven-time road march king appears to have a winner on his hands and the patrons attending the show’s opening night seemed to agree. (GBM)
