RAIN HAD THE FINAL SAY in the third round of matches in the Garfield Sobers International Schools’ Tournament yesterday.

Play started in two matches, but there was only one outright victory as the majority were abandoned due to the wet conditions.

Kofi James scored 70 as Antigua Combined Schools beat Dominica Combined Schools by 61 runs at James Bryan ground in Market Hill, St George.

At Church Hill: Foundation School vs Presentation College. Match abandoned due to rain and wet conditions.

At James Bryan: Hamilton Lashley Foundation vs BCL Juniors. Match abandoned due to rain and wet conditions.

At Gall Hill: Eletra Institute vs Queen’s Park Cricket Club. Match abandoned due to rain and wet conditions.

 

At Wayne Daniel: Antigua Combined Schools 146-9 in 27 overs (Kofi James 70, Donald Sheckle 22, Tariq Benjamin 17; Ndo Joseph 3-20, Malakai Xavier 3-29). Dominica Combined Schools 85-9 in 27 overs (Jervon Raphael 21, Malakai Xavier 11 not out; Javy Benjamin 2-12, Jeddidiah Martin 2-17, Keif Baltimore 2-22). Antigua Combined Schools won by 61 runs.
