DISCUSSIONS SHOULD BE held soon on whether national scholarships will be offered to outstanding students of the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP).

Principal of the SJPP Hector Belle said he met Minister of Education Ronald Jones last Friday and was now preparing a paper to present to the ministry for its consideration on the scholarship issue.

However, he had first to meet with the SJPP officials. He spoke to the issue on Monday evening at the Chinese Embassy shortly after he met eight students who are going off to study in China. (LK)
