AFTER A FIVE-MONTH reprieve, a St Michael family is now facing the prospect of life on the streets.
The development has come as 45-year-old Esther Worrell of 1st Avenue Goddings Road, Station Hill, has so far failed to find a new home after being slapped with an eviction notice for the place she has rented for almost two decades.
The family’s desperate situation was highlighted last April in the WEEKEND NATION when she and her family received a notice to quit from their landlord.
Back then, Worrell said she was unable to find a place to stay. However, the unemployed mother of four children who are between the ages of 15 and 25, and grandmother of two girls who are nine months old and two years old, insisted that she has tried earnestly to find a new residence. (SB)
