Akela meeting fans in City tomorrow

OLYMPIAN AKELA JONES will spend three hours in Bridgetown tomorrow to meet and greet fans and friends.

The star athlete will be at Cave Shepherd on Broad Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. when she will do autograph signing, which will include a limited number of her special t-shirts which will be on sale.

She returned to Barbados to attend the Evening with the Stars gala dinner which honoured 25 sports icons, including Sir Garry Sobers, the only living national hero of Barbados. The event was organised by the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture.

She leaves for Kansas University in the United States on Sunday. (HG)
