Visitors upset over closed beach

THE AZURE waters on the South Coast are turning brown.

And for tourists, they are getting the sun and sand, but very little sea there.

With one tourist allegedly hospitalised after swimming at Worthing Beach, which is now closed until further notice, a number of repeat visitors are upset that they have been unable to enter the water and partake in one of the pillars of the island’s tourism marketing drives.

Minister of Health John Boyce has told the SUNDAY SUN that the brackish water being released into the sea at Worthing Beach had nothing to do with overflowing sewage on the landward side, as some residents have claimed.
