CHE ALLAN and Chelsea Roett clinched the two open divisions at Barbados Surfing Association’s third Surfer Of The Year series event at the Soup Bowl in Bathsheba last weekend.
Allan won the open men’s final, while Roett took the women’s section to highlight the competition in the eight divisions.
The most exciting heat of the day was the open men’s final, where four of the island’s top male surfers battled it out.
Allan was in top form, winning all of his heats on the way to the final, where he emerged winner after facing stiff competition from Bruce Mackie, who placed second; Axe Garrett, third; and Zander Venezia, fourth. (PR/HG)
