Dog owner charged in connection with death of senior citizen

POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged Peter Christopher Rock, 48, of Monroe Road, Haggatt Hall, St Michael in connection with the death of 74-year-old Verona Lolita Gibson.

Gibson, a former nurse of the same address, was attacked and killed by a number of dogs on Saturday, January 28, whilst walking along the road in the district.

Rock has been charged with manslaughter, three counts of keeping dogs without a license and three counts of keeping dogs unleashed in a public place. 

He is expected to appear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Monday, June 19. (PR)
