LESTER VAUGHAN’S reputation on the track is spilling over to other sports.
The Cane Garden, St Thomas school recently celebrated their capture of the Under-16 boys’ and girls’ volleyball titles and the Under-15 netball league.
“It is due to a very strong physical education programme that the school offers. Due to our strong education programme most of our kids are very strong as it relates to the basic fundamentals for various sporting disciplines,” physical education teacher Khismar Catlin told WEEKENDSPORT.
“Our programme works at laying the core principles, the foundation or focusing on the basics of specific sporting disciplines. It makes our job a lot easier when it is transferred into the extracurricular activity.” (RG)
