KENRICK SPOONER’S family believes he was ambushed and killed as he made his daily trip home from work for lunch.

His uncle, Carl Spooner, said he even noticed a spot of grass which was trampled as if someone had been in that spot lying in wait.

Kenrick’s body was found in a bushy area at Todds Land, St John, on Thursday evening. The 48-year-old man, better known as Jack, of No.1 Poole Land, St John, was the father of four children aged 20, 19, 16 and three.

It was his brother Deon Spooner who discovered the badly mutilated body. (LK)
