Fogging schedule July 30 to August 3

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its fogging programme aimed at eradicating the Aedes aegypti mosquito next week.

On Monday, July 30, the team will be in St Michael fogging My Lord’s Hill, Blackman’s Road, Jones Road, Licorish Village with Avenues, Odessa McClean Avenue, Odessa McClean Drive and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, July 31, areas to be fogged in St Andrew are Jordan’s Road, Franklyn, Doughlin Tenantry Road, Babylon Road, Bawdens and environs.

On Wednesday, August 1, the team will be in St Michael spraying Harbour Road, Prescod Boulevard, University Row, Spring Garden Highway and environs.

The exercise continues in St Michael on Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3.

On Thursday, areas to be fogged are Queen’s Park, St Michael’s Row, Bridge Street, Probyn Street, Lower Bay Street, Wharf Road, Hincks Street, Princess Alice Highway and surrounding areas.

On Friday the team will be at the National Stadium, Waterford Road, Station Hill, Bank Hall Cross Road, Eagle Hall, Black Rock Main Road and neighbouring districts.

Additionally, teams from the Vector Control Unit will continue to carry out fogging and other treatment activities in and around the Graeme Hall Swamp and other areas impacted by the sewage spills on the south coast.

The fogging exercises will be carried out between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. (BGIS)
