Bishop still waiting for the call

Prolific Crane Resort St Catherine left-arm spinner Derick Bishop believes he is still being choked by the Barbados selectors.

Bishop, who sang a calypso a few years ago about his continued omission from national trials, is singing a similar tune.

This follows his latest exclusion from a list of 36 players, selected to play in two trial matches, in preparation for the 2018-19 regional first-class season.

On Sunday, the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) announced two separate squads of 18 players, and an emotional Bishop, in a radio interview later the same day, said he was disappointed to be excluded yet again even though he remained available to represent his country. (EZS)
