The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is investigating problems with its distribution network which may be affecting the north of the island.

As a result, customers in parts of St Lucy and St Peter who are supplied by these systems will continue to experience lower than normal water pressure or water outages.

Meanwhile, residents and businesses in parts of Christ Church and St Philip are asked to note that a connection will be made to a 12-inch main in Fort George Heights.

This work is expected to take place between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Affected areas may include Wildey, Pine, Collymore Rock, Flag Staff, Bonnetts, Brittons, Forde’s Road, and surrounding areas in St Michael.

In Christ Church, Vauxhall, Sargeant’s Village, Fort George Heights, Upton, Clapham, Regency Park, St David’s, Sheraton Park, Elizabeth Park, South Ridge, Graeme Hall and surrounding areas.

A new service connection will also be made at Peat Bay, St Philip from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Affected areas may include Peat Bay, Merricks and the surrounding districts.

Customers are asked to store an adequate supply of water for the duration of the shutdown and water tankers will be dispatched to assist the affected areas. (PR/SAT)
