NO MONEY is missing from the Delta State Youth Programme in Barbados.

This was made clear by the state’s attorney general, Charles Ajuyah, at a news conference yesterday.

“The Delta State government of Nigeria has not at any forum said that funds are missing. I don’t know where that is coming from. We know what was released,” he told the media.

Back in January, programme consultant Donna St Hill had indicated that US$500 000 was missing from the programme.

But Ajuyah said: “If our funds were missing we would hold the person responsible but believe you me when I tell you that we have not told anybody of missing funds… We didn’t come here to look for missing money because there is no money missing.” (MB)
