ATLANTA (AP) – Fans and supportive residents are expected to gather in suburban Atlanta in support of 21-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been hospitalised since she was found face-down in a bathtub last month.
The event, titled “Shining a Light for Healing for Bobbi Kristina Brown”, is set for Monday evening at the Riverdale Town Centre amphitheatre, south of Atlanta.
Brown is the only child between singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. Houston was also found unresponsive in a bathtub on February 11, 2012 and later died. Brown’s relatives have said Bobbi Brown is in a hospital “fighting for her life”.
City of Riverdale Marketing Specialist Corey Punzi says he planned the event to support Brown’s family because Bobby Brown was the first artist to perform at the city’s amphitheatre.
