BARBADIAN LEVI CADOGAN will be chasing a medal in the men’s 100 metres today from lane seven.
Cadogan advanced to the final at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracuz, Mexico yesterday after placing second in his semi-final heat in 10.45 seconds.
That race is scheduled to run at 5:05 p.m. Barbados time, while Kierre Beckles will open her campaign in the women’s 100m hurdles at 2:47 p.m.
Barbados’ top tennis player Darian King is also through to the quarter-finals in that event after two wins yesterday. His match against Victor Estrella of the Dominican Republic for a spot among the medals started at 11 a.m..
There will be very little turn-around time as he and Lewis will be against the Cuban pair of Dorantes and Yasiel Estrada in the doubles at 2:30 p.m.
The women’s doubles squash team will take on Guyana in the quarter-finals today and Barbados also have a team in the mixed doubles quarter-finals, but all of the sailing races have been postponed.
