Family of six evicted

A family of six, including a six-week-old baby, were put out of their home yesterday following legal action by a relative.
Shabaz Arthur, 38, her three children, two grandchildren, six newborn puppies and their mother were looking for somewhere to sleep last night.
The family is now homeless after a court-ordered eviction.
Speaking to the DAILY NATION yesterday as her belongings were being removed from the house and placed at the side of the road, Arthur said she resided at the Wilkinson Road, Richmond Gap residence for eight years, having being placed there by her father.
She explained that her father, who died three years ago, shared ownership of the house with her aunt, who resided overseas. (AH)
