VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN could be halted in some cases if victims seek an early intervention by social agencies.
President of the National Organization of Women (NOW),?Marilyn Rice-Bowen, made this assertion in an interview with the DAILY NATION yesterday.
She said women could obtain early relief by approaching agencies such as NOW, the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA), the police and the Crisis Centre, which is a 24-hour hotline for women with major troubles.
She said these all had built-in systems to help women overcome the challenges caused by strained relationships. (JS/CA)
