IT WAS A DAY OF FUN, praise and worship at the Hillaby Church of the Nazarene celebration of praise and thanksgiving.
Monday, members of the church gathered at Farmer’s Playing Field in St Thomas to play games, dance, get health checks, worship and more.
Reverend Arthur Leonce said it was part of the church’s harvest celebration.
“We believe God wants us to come out into the community and it also helps bring the church together. We are giving back to God for all His blessings throughout the year,” he said.
Leonce said the turnout was low, but he was not disheartened as it was the first time his church was holding the event and there were many other competing attractions.
He said he hoped to make it bigger and better next year. (CA)
