In memory of Krystal

Despite the pain, the family of Krystal Lovell was encouraged to pray for the one who allegedly took the life of their daughter, sister and friend.
“It may not be the popular thing to do, it may not be the popular thing to say, but I want to ask that God will have mercy on him and even in his time of quietness, he will look into himself and be able to call upon God and have mercy upon him,” aunt Jennifer Boyce asserted in her message to those who gathered in Highland, St Thomas, at a vigil last night.
More than 30 people came out on a cold country night, showered by intermittent rains, to remember a bright spark lost through song, prayer and memories.
The 22-year-old was the island’s latest victim of intimate partner violence, after being stabbed to death. Her former boyfriend Jerrick Tudor has been charged with murder.
Friends and neighbours also shared stories of the “fussy” girl who was an aspiring nurse, as parents Lorraine and Roosevelt Lovell stood close, trying to hold back the tears. (LW)
