Redman upbeat after meeting with Stuart

Alexandra School is still on the agenda of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
After weeks of waiting to hear from Stuart about the status of the still to be defined phase two, the DAILY NATION has been reliably informed that the Prime Minister met with Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) president Mary Redman late Tuesday evening.
Redman confirmed that a meeting did take place, and while she would only repeat the same chorus of the past weeks that “the process is in train”, she appeared more upbeat.
A week ago she had expressed concern over the length of time the next phase was taking. Citing mounting tensions at the St Peter school, Redman said the situation there was “untenable” and could not go on for much longer.
