There will?be a complete restructuring of the Transport Board.
So said Minister of Transport Michael Lashley, as he confirmed that United Commercial Autoworks Ltd (UCAL), the company responsible for carrying out maintenance on the board’s bus fleet, was owed over $18 million by the Transport Board.
Lashley told the DAILY NATION that two committees were put in place to deal with the restructuring of the board and among other things, would examine its arrangement with UCAL.
He pointed out that the committees had been mandated to get back to the minister and the permanent secretary “very shortly”. (MB)
