THE NURSE auxiliary who assaulted an elderly patient at a nursing home was told yesterday that she “ran the risk of going to jail”.

However, Ariel King, of Lynches, St Philip, was assessed by a probation officer for the possibility of community service and a pre-sentencing report was ordered.

King had pleaded not guilty to the charge when she first appeared before the District “C” Magistrates’ Court on May 23, 2016. However, she pleaded guilty to the assault charge sometime after.
