AS FAR AS the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) is concerned, the formation of any economic advisory council by the Democratic Labour Party right now is simply putting the cart before the horse.
That’s because Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler’s announcement last week of an advisory council came after the plans for the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure were already in motion.
BLP chairman George Payne pulled no punches yesterday while making those comments to journalists during the party’s weekly community tours.
Speaking in 2nd Avenue, Thomas Gap, Westbury Road, Payne said: “This administration would like to make you believe that the appointment of advisory committees is the solution to the problems facing Barbados. (AD)
