ONE MINUTE, Winston Orlando Forde was walking with a group of prisoners on his way to the work section of HMP Dodds; and, the next, he was on the ground bleeding and unresponsive.
The Coroner’s Court sitting into Forde’s death heard the testimony of prison officers and prisoners to that effect yesterday. 
Former convict 48-year-old Henderson Hewitt, who was serving a 16-year sentence for murder and had since been released, said he came to know Forde, nicknamed Blinkey, in 2009 while in prison. On November 10, 2011, after the prison officer took the tally, a number of them were making their way to the work station, and Forde was 30 feet ahead of him near the fencing.
As he passed a second gate, he heard something hit the ground and looked around to see Forde with blood under the back of his head, Hewitt said. (AC)
