SOME 130 TOP academic achievers have been honoured by the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies for scholarly excellence, the first initiative of its kind by the institution.
A reception was held in their honour Thursday night, days ahead of today’s graduation of nearly 1 600 eligible women and men, ten with BSc in sports sciences and six with a Master’s degree in sports sciences.
Principal Professor Eudine Barriteau said the campus was exploring the creation of synergies among existing programmes to create new specialisations.
“The BSc degree in sports science can become a foundation programme for a Master’s degree in occupational therapy and our Faculty of Medical Sciences could work with colleagues in the academic sports programme to explore new collaborations,” she said. (WILLCOMM)
