THE NATIONAL CULTURAL FOUNDATION (NCF) has been charged with the task of finding creative ways to sustain the Crop Over Festival – economically.
Speaking at the annual awards ceremony and reception, Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley urged the organisation to consider adding “more paid events” to the Crop Over calendar.
“It is equally paramount that the NCF courts the idea of more paying events on the Crop Over calendar, providing revenue generating opportunities to assist in sustaining the production of this world class festival.”
Lashley was speaking on Sunday night when the crème de la crème of the 2016 Crop Over Festival were in the spotlight at the event held at Hilton Barbados. (TTY)
