TEN STUDENTS WILL represent the latest step by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) to promote interest in this country’s agricultural sector.
The group of secondary school students were busy yesterday as they tended to the sheep at the Greenland Livestock Research Station during a part of their seven-week programme.
And as he toured the facility, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Senator Harrry Husbands, explained that this type of activity was a part of the needed restructuring of the country’s educational system.
“The broader issue here for the Ministry of Education is our attempt to focus the education system generally,” the senator said after touring the facility in St Andrew. (AD)
