THE FINAL AGREEMENT on the controversial Four Seasons project at Black Rock, St Michael should be revealed next week as Government hints of a new buyer for the property.
Word of this came last night from Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler, who told the DAILY NATION that an update on the stalled luxury resort development would soon be brought to Cabinet.
“In a week’s time, I should be able to give you an update,” he said at the closing ceremony for the Lawson Weekes Educational Scholarships at Almond Bay, Hastings, Christ Church.
“The agreement for the new investors and the sale of the project is virtually finished.”
The restart of the Four Seasons project has been delayed since it ran into financial difficulties in early 2008 with less than half of the planned number of villas unsold and some investors threatening to take legal action. (AD/GE)
