Murder-accused remanded to prison

OMAR RYAN ONEAL Hurdle was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds today after he was charged with the murder of Dwayne Jason Omar Gooding.

Hurdle, a 33-year-old of 3rd Avenue, Ivy, St Michael, was charged with the offence following the unnatural death of the My Lords Hill, St Michael resident on April 24, 2016.

Appearing before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District “A” Magistrates’ court, Hurdle was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

He was remanded until May 24. Hurdle is being represented by attorney at law Angela Mitchell-Gittens.

On Saturday, Gooding was on his way home from White’s Shop in Martinique Road, Government Hill when he was killed. It was reported that Hurdle received multiple wounds, including some to the head and arms. He died early Sunday morning while undergoing treatment. (TKS)
