When love blooms

“Love has eyes of its own.” These words spoken by Reverend John Yarde, as he officiated at the wedding ceremony of Mark Stoute (left) and Hyacinth Hurdle, summed up the occasion yesterday.

There was no doubt that Stoute and Hurdle were in love as they spoke highly of each other. The bride said she was happy to be getting married while adding that her husband treated her well, a sentiment he shared on their big day.

The couple, who met at the Centre for the Blind and Deaf, finally jumped the broom after about three years of courtship.

They were surrounded by about 100 people, including members of the disabled community like Senate President Kerryann Ifill and entertainers, including the Mighty Gabby and Mark’s brother Richard Stoute.
