MONEY IS BEING SOUGHT to improve the physical structure of the popular Oistins Bay Gardens facility in Christ Church.

Member of Parliament for Christ Church South John Boyce told Parliament yesterday that the National Conservation Commission (NCC), the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. and the Ministry of Tourism “were working very hard to come up with a funding arrangement which would see us deal with the question of flooding in the area”.

Boyce, who is also Minister of Health, said the Bay Garden was not designed for rainy conditions and when it rained, stalls became inaccessible and rendered the area challenging for vendors and patrons.

In addition, he explained that there would also be an expansion of the bathroom facilities. (MB)
