Braff, Bishop top averages

OPENER KRAIGG BRATHWAITE of CounterPoint Wanderers topped the batting averages, while Brathwaite Construction/Crane Resort left-arm spinner Derick Bishop ruled the bowling in the 2015 Barbados Cricket Association Elite Division Championship.

Brathwaite, 22, the Barbados first-class captain and West Indies Test vice-captain, scored 651 runs, including three centuries, at an average of 108.50.

The Wanderers skipper played only the first six rounds before heading to Sri Lanka for the just concluded two-Test series.

All three of his hundreds were unbeaten, and on home turf at Dayrells Road: 172 not out v BDFSP (Series 1); 162 not out v ESA Field Pickwick (Series 2) and 206 not out v Sierka Rentals Maple (Series 5). (www.bcacricket.org)
