The erection of a house at Highland, St Thomas, turned ugly Wednesday when the contractor fell off a ladder, sustaining serious injuries.
Joseph Stephens is reported to be fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after a cement column gave way, causing Stephens to fall 17 feet below.
It is reported the contractor was pouring cement into one of the columns when the incident occurred. (TS)
