For the love of a good cause hundreds set off from The Garrison yesterday evening.
It was the National Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness 2013 which included survivors of the illness, charity and social workers and countless other Barbadians. It began at the Clock Tower in the Historic Garrison Savannah and registration figures showed that 2 000 walkers, 100 runners and 30 riders took part in the event.
The event was organized by the Breast Screening Programme of the Barbados Cancer Society, in partnership with the Little Pink Gift Foundation, Cancer Support Services, and Bosom Pals and included survivors of the disease.
A large contingent came from sponsors  CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank. (AC)
