LESS THAN FIVE minutes after the start, the meeting between the Ministry of Education and the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) has been adjourned.

Stating they are “in shock”, the 11-member contingent from the BUT is headed to its Merryhill, St Michael headquarters to “reflect” before the start of an 11:30 a.m. Press conference.

It is understood that the Ministry informed the BUT that an investigation has been launched into affairs at Parkinson Memorial and the Personnel Administration Department has “ordered” a course of action at Alma Parris. (YB)
