PORT OF SPAIN – West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) president Dave Cameron says he would welcome any challengers for the presidency when the WICB hosts its annual general meeting in Jamaica on March 7.

Speaking on a radio programme recently, Cameron said: “I hope we do have some challengers. I believe if there are persons out there who believe they can do a better job then they should come forward.

“It is not an easy job. We in the Caribbean take the surrounding things for granted. We have Caricom, we have all the issues that we have together and then you expect to bring together a group of players from different countries and a group of directors . . . . It is just not easy and it presents many challenges.”

“I don’t necessarily have all the answers but if somebody believes that they do and the shareholders and directors believe so, then by all means . . . ,” the president added. (Trinidad Express)
