STOP THE ROT at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) now!
That’s what four allied associations of medical professionals are demanding of Government as a matter of urgency.
Calling the ongoing supply shortage at the QEH a crisis, the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP), the Junior Doctors Association (JDA), the Barbados Association of Medical Technologists (BAMT), and the Barbados Physical Therapy Association (BPTA) expressed grave concern about “the deterioration of the functional capacity” of the QEH.
In a joint statement yesterday, the four lambasted Government for not demonstrating the urgency needed to find sustainable long-term solutions to the situation, even though last December it acknowledged there was a pressing need for action and laid out a plan.
