Naleena aiming to find cure for cancer

EVEN AT AGE 11, Naleena Naomi Gaskin of The Rock Christian School is looking forward to a career in battling diseases.

“I hope to be a medical scientist,” she told the DAILY NATION yesterday. “I want to find the cure for many diseases, like HIV and cancer.”

She admits that landing a cancer cure can be a problem, but says, with a good deal of confidence: “I’ll figure  it out.”

Gaskin, of The Crane, St Philip, placed ninth overall among students sitting the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination.
