Burke brothers make US Open

BARBADIAN BROTHERS Josh and Jacob Burke have both qualified to compete at the US Open of Surfing, one of the most prestigious surfing events around the globe.

Last year Josh qualified for the World Surf League (WSL) junior event, in which only 64 surfers from around the world participate and now following in his footsteps is his 14-year-old old brother Jacob who qualified for this year’s event.

“I can’t believe I got in this event. For the past few years I always watched it online and thought it would be years before this happened. I am so excited,” Jacob said.
