MASSY United Insurance Empire and the University of the West Indies Blackbirds Hockey Club (UWIBHC) played to a scintillating 3-3 draw in a top-of-the-table Hockey 7s League battle at the UWI Hockey Turf on Wednesday night.
Both clubs are renowned for their attractive, fast-paced style of hockey, so it was no surprise when the match got off to a frenetic pace and produced chances for both teams in the early exchanges.
Barbados striker Laurando Davis was a constant threat to the Blackbirds’ defence and got on the scoresheet in the tenth minute after a moment of individual brilliance.
