CHAIRMAN OF THE EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS TRIBUNAL Hal Gollop has put his foot down.
Fed up with another adjournment at the hands of the same attorney, the fourth since the tribunal last heard evidence at the beginning of October into the 2014 retrenchment of scores of National Conservation Commission employees, Gollop declared yesterday’s occurrence would be the last of its kind and hearing would go ahead on the next occasion.
“We have to take it out of the hands of counsel now. We have received little or no cooperation in this regard so the situation really calls for the tribunal to set some dates and see to it that the parties are present.”
No dates have been set for the resumption of the matter but Gollop said two days of hearing would be necessary to bring the matter to an end.
