FLYING FISH & COU COU: Out of favour in his hometown

A CANDIDATE in the upcoming election will not be welcomed at the home of a St Philip family.

It seems that he made some very disparaging remarks concerning the death of a family member prompting a sibling to put him on blast on Facebook.

Disrespect for dead

THE SIBLING who made it known that he had no beef with the party leader went on to say that he could not believe that the candidate who was running in his constituency would go to such lengths to disrespect the dead.

He wanted to know if the candidate did not realise there were several family members living in the same constituency who he would have to depend on for a vote.

This candidate may not need a plane ticket to travel around St Philip but he should be careful of what he wears when he goes to certain homes in the area.

Orator going back home?

IT’S A BIBLICAL NAME.

That is what some persons in the political field are calling a certain man after rumours started to spread that he is contemplating jumping ship.

Talk about betrayal – everyone is saying if he does cross over it would be the biggest deception in Barbados’ political history.

However, others are saying that the slim powerhouse orator, who loves locking horns verbally with his opponents is merely going back home where he has always belonged.

Although his family are deeply rooted with the Bees it is said that he has always subscribed to the gospel of the Dees from college days when he use to hang out with the Minister of Finance.

There is the perception that he is so against what has happened in recent times and that he treats his leader with such disdain that there is no way he will stick around.

Worker under boss’ shield

STAFF AT A CERTAIN OFFICE in Warrens where news spreads like wildfire have been put under a gag order in respect of one of their colleagues.

From what we understand, the head honcho, who loves to give marching orders, held a staff meeting and warned staff that if they say anything negative about their colleague, who was recently in hot water, that they would be dealt with “very harshly.”

That was a week ago.

Now this week the boss has read out the riot act after the disgraced worker returned to work. The boss has ordered staff not to say anything about the employee’s sudden return promising that the employee will be confined to desk duties for the time being.

Angry staff, who are still reeling over their boss’ reaction to this sordid affair, want to know why the boss is shielding this worker and behaving as if the worker still has a picture-perfect life.
