Agrofest a thrill for many

AGROFEST 2016, held under the theme Grow, Sell, Eat, Repeat, saw thousands of Barbadians and visitors thronging Queen’s Park to sample the best of Barbados’ agricultural displays.

While it was the turn of hundreds of schoolchildren on opening day Friday, on Saturday Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave and Lady Belgrave got a close-up of the action and he even got an opportunity to participate in the cattle judging.

On the final day Sunday, Minister of Housing and Lands Denis Kellman led a tour by Rural Development Commission officials and said he was totally impressed with what was on show.

On Saturday, Member of Parliament for The City, Jeffrey Bostic, was seen making the rounds. He said his Barbados Labour Party leader Mia Mottley could not make it to Queen’s Park and so he was representing the party.
